Here are some key bathroom renovation considerations:

Space Utilization:

Efficient use of space is crucial, especially in compact bathrooms. This involves strategic placement of fixtures, storage solutions, and optimizing traffic flow.

Fixtures and Fittings:

Selecting the right fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, and tubs is essential. For small bathrooms, consider space-saving options like corner sinks or compact toilets.

Storage Solutions:

Incorporating adequate storage is important for keeping the bathroom organized and clutter-free. This can include built-in cabinets, shelves, or creative storage solutions that maximize space.

Ventilation:

Proper ventilation helps prevent mold and mildew growth, ensuring a healthy environment. This might involve installing exhaust fans or windows that allow for air circulation.

Lighting:

Lighting can significantly impact the ambiance and functionality of a bathroom. A mix of ambient, task, and accent lighting can create a well-lit and inviting space.

Material Selection:

Choose durable and water-resistant materials that are suitable for the bathroom environment. This includes flooring, wall tiles, and countertops.

The story behind

Keilor

History

Keilor was first incorporated as a road district on 3 March 1863. It became a shire on 22 December 1871, and was proclaimed a city on 29 April 1961.[2] Its boundaries were relatively stable throughout its existence, however, parts of Essendon North were transferred to the City of Essendon in 1993.[3]

On 15 July 1975, after a number of years of factional infighting, the council was suspended.[4]

On 15 December 1994, the City of Keilor was abolished, and its area divided by the Maribyrnong River and the Albion-Jacana freight railway line; its eastern section was merged with the City of Essendon, to form the newly created City of Moonee Valley, while its western section was merged with parts of the City of Sunshine, including St Albans, to form the newly created City of BrimbankMelbourne Airport and a small section of Tullamarine, north of Sharps Road, were transferred to the newly created City of Hume.[5]
